Description
Primary function: To cool samples of boiler water, feedwater, condensate, and steam. It eliminates steam flashing to ensure accuracy during conductivity measurements or chemical analysis.
Operating principle: A cooling medium (typically demineralized cold water) flows through the shell in a counter-current direction to the hot fluid being cooled, which flows through a coiled tube.
Components included in the system:
Sample cooler (main body)
Needle valve for regulating sample flow (ADCA NV400H or equivalent)
Isolation valve for the cooling water (ADCA GV32 or equivalent)
Fitting and bimetallic thermometer for monitoring the outlet temperature
Compression fittings (1/4″ × 8 mm or 3/8″ × 10 mm)
Drain funnel (optional, depending on the model)
